The FPS Economy is warning businesses about a new scam that is currently underway. Fraudsters are impersonating the FPS Economy and have created a fraudulent website that perfectly mimics the official style of the FPS Economy.

Many businesses are currently receiving letters inviting them to register urgently to obtain a supposed bonus of up to €5,000. The message creates a strong sense of urgency by stating that only the first companies to respond will be eligible.

The letter, which looks very professional, contains a unique code and a QR code that links to a fake website. The scammers use public data (company name and address) to make the scam credible. Small businesses and the self-employed are particularly targeted.

The FPS Economy reminds you that it never offers grants on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and never asks for sensitive data via links, QR codes or personal codes.
