Level of compliance

These websites are not compliant. Non-compliances and exemptions are listed below.

Preparation of the statement

An external accessibility audit was conducted. This audit consisted of a simplified analysis. You can view the report here:

Inaccessible content

According to the simplified audit carried out on 20 August 2025 by the FPS BOSA, certain parts of the website do not comply or only partially comply with accessibility criteria.

The main non-compliances identified concern:

  • Insufficient contrast for certain graphic elements, buttons and text, which may cause readability issues.
  • Absence or insufficiency of text alternatives for certain decorative and informative images.
  • Problems with the structure of titles and HTML tags, which may interfere with screen reader navigation.
  • Lack of explicit labels for certain links and buttons.
  • Non-compliant PDF documents: several files do not comply with accessibility standards and are not readable for all users.

The CCB plans to gradually correct these issues as part of a continuous improvement plan in order to achieve better compliance with the EN 301 549 standard (see 3.2.1).

Accessibility features available

To improve the user experience, an accessibility configuration modal has been implemented on the website.

This interface allows visitors to customise various settings to improve readability and usability, including:

  • enhancing or inverting contrasts,
  • increasing line spacing to make reading easier,
  • disabling text justification,
  • replacing images with text where possible.

These options improve the accessibility of the site, but they must be activated manually by the user in the site's main menu.

Proposed alternatives

If certain content is not accessible, visitors can contact the Belgian Cybersecurity Centre to obtain this information in an alternative format or in a format adapted to their needs.

Improvement plan

We plan to improve the accessibility of our websites by implementing several corrective measures:

  • adding accessible names to links and images,
  • improving the visual distinction of links and colour contrasts,
  • reorganising the hierarchy of headings to follow a logical order,
  • checking and correcting ARIA attributes,
  • removing non-decorative content in pseudo-classes.

These measures will bring us closer to full compliance with the EN 301 549 standard and provide a better experience for all users.

The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) is fully aware of the importance of digital accessibility and is committed to continuously improving the user experience.

Although some non-conformities remain, corrective actions are already underway and others are planned in order to gradually move towards full compliance with the EN 301 549 standard.

We remain attentive to user feedback in order to identify any accessibility issues and remedy them as quickly as possible.
